This is a wonderful resource for Family Studies courses where body language and communication are explored. The HIF1O Exploring Family Studies course comes to mind, as do courses in Equity Studies and the General Family Studies. There are many opportunities for discussion with your classes in this TEDTalk by Amy Cuddy.

Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing” — standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident — can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success.
Members can download a colour poster titled Powerpose that can be put up in your Family Studies classroom. This is a great visual to accompany this Ted Talks video.
