Family Studies Advisory Writing Project – Application for Writers - Dismantling Anti-Black Racism and Oppression

OFSHEEA is hiring writers!

OFSHEEA is seeking four secondary OCTs to work to write our next curriculum advisory documents, on the topics of Dismantling Anti-Black Racism and Oppression and Including 2SLGBTQIA+ Identities and Experiences. There will be two writers for each topic.

Similar to the two advisory documents released in the spring, these new advisory documents will be statements and guidelines to support Family Studies teachers in making their classrooms safe and responsive to the needs of all students while actively working to dismantle harmful systems. As an organization,  we hope to provide our teachers with some guidelines and suggestions on how to ensure our classrooms are equitable/inclusive despite a curriculum that is almost 10 years old!
