In keeping up with the fresh start of a “New Year, New Me” attitude, here are a couple resources to help kick start students in realizing and achieving their goals- especially when it comes to finances. Try to reinforce with your students that resolutions tend to fade all too quickly. Send the message that tweaking your practice of over-promising what you are going to accomplish in 2016 into a SMART plan of action instead. Also, keep in mind of needs vs. wants while prioritizing what matters most!
